The adolescent, who was diagnosed with this disease two years ago, prefers not to undergo surgery by the traditional method suggested by doctors because it consists of "inserting two metal bars in the column with screws and straightening it", as she explains the young

In his opinion, it is a "very invasive" procedure that would restrict his movements for life and prevent him from moving the spine. «I have my feet, it is hard for me to walk, I stumble, I do not have stability and it is very difficult for me to bend down and if I put some metal bars in the column, I would fuse all the vertebrae, including the lumbar vertebrae and I would lose movement for what it is it would offer me a horrible quality of life, "he argues. And he explains: "I have to operate as soon as possible, and I would like it to be through a surgical intervention that allows me some movement, since I need it. This technique is called ASC, which in English is called Anterior Scoliosis Correction ».

The problem is that this new operation has a very high price that the family can not afford, so they have launched a crowdfunding platform Gofundme with which they aim to reach the sum they need, 50,000 euros, and that the girl is intervened as soon as possible. before.

The Guardia Urbana arrested two people on Wednesday night for alleged homophobic assault on a young man at the Plaza Espanya Metro station in Barcelona, and they were put at the disposal of the Mossos d'Esquadra, who investigate the incident, have informed Europa Press knowledgeable sources.

According to the social network, an acquaintance of the attacked person was beaten by four men and two women for being "too gay", and he claims that he has wrist marks on his wrists because two were security guards, accompanying him with a photograph.
Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) said on Friday that it collaborates with Mossos d'Esquadra in the investigation of the event and that it has opened an "internal information on the possible participation of security personnel out of service", he said in a note in Twitter

The assault allegedly occurred on Wednesday night to Thursday in a corridor of the station, when the young man went to the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC), and the Guàrdia Urbana acted at the beginning, according to knowledgeable sources.

The Mossos d'Esquadra are currently investigating the events, they have explained to Europa Press, but they do not detail if it is a homophobic aggression.

The Observatory against Homophobia (OCH) has not yet been able to contact the victim, but has opened an ex officio action on the aggression - in communication with the Barcelona City Council - after which the young man received medical attention.

Speaking to Europa Press, OCH sources have lamented the aggression and added that, if it is confirmed that two aggressors were security guards, this supports more than ever their request that "more training is needed" in all the areas, and protocols on aggression are necessary.
