History of Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site
The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site was built between 1905 and 1930, designed by the renowned Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner as a modern hospital complex inspired by the garden city model. It replaced the old Hospital de la Santa Creu, which had become obsolete. For a century, it functioned as a hospital, pioneering advances in healthcare and hygiene.
